SUMATRA OVERLAND TRIP

NORTH   SUMATERA: The province of north SUMATRA streches across the island of SUMATRA between Indian   Ocean and Strait MALACCA. It borders ACEH province on the northwest and RIAU and West SUMATRA province in the southeast. lt has an area of 70,87 km2. The province contains a broad low plain along he Strait of  MALACCA on which range thai runs the province capital, MEDAN is located in the south and west the land rises to the mountain range that runs the length of SUMATRA: the mountains here are dominated by LAKE TOBA, formed from the caldera of ancient volcano. Several large island in the Indian Ocean on coast of North SUMATRA are part of North SUMATRA, most notably NIAS AND BATU island

Day 1 : AIRPORT - HOTEL

Arrive at POLONIA International Airport - Medan will be met and transfer to hotel

Day 2: MEDAN CITY TOUR - TANGKAHAN

After breakfast, visit the SULTAN Deli palace at Jalan Brigjen Katamso and Grand Mosque at Jalan Mesjid Raya. Continier to ASAM KUMBANG to see the crocodile farm. Leaving Medan for TANGKAN and stop over at several places for photo hunting. Arrive at TANGKAHAN check in at hotel.

Day 3: TANGKAHAN • ELEPHANT SAFARI - TUBING

After breakfast walking to starting point of elephant riding, where you may join with the Mahout during washing   elephant. After washing elephant you can ride the elephant through the river and jungle. The elephant  riding will take for 1 hour. After riding the elephant lake a short rest and enjoy tubing through the river and stop will be made at fantastic BULUH  water fall.

Day 4: TANGKAHAN  - BUKIT LAWANG

After breakfast leave TANG KAHAN for BUKIT LAWANG by jeep/motor bike passing plantation and jungle road. On road way stop at plantation and severallntresting places such as school, palm oil factory and for enjoy  the panorama and witness the activities of local people. Arrive in BUKIT LAWANG check in for hotel. HOTEL: RINDU  ALAM

Day 5: ORANG UTAN  EXPLORATION

After breakfast walking to the jungle by crossing the river with traditional canoe then trekking to the feeding site of ORANGUTAN to see the ORANGUTAN on their feeding time and continue trekking for 3 hours. Afternoon free program. Suggested activity enjoy swimming in to the river.

Day 6: BUKIT LAWANG - BERASTAGI

After breakfast leave Bukil Lawang for Berastagi via Sembahe and Sibolangit. Arrive in Berastagi city tour at fruits traditional market and check in at hotel.

Day 7: BERASTAGI    TRACKING

Enjoy  your  breakfast   at hotel.  Tracking   tour at Sinabung   Volcanic  Tour.  Late Afternoon   return  10 hotel  for slay  overnight

Day 8:     BERASTAGI-       SAMOSIR

After breakfast leaving Berastagi for Parapat via simarjaruinjung.  Enroute visit the Sipiso -  piso  water fall and the long house at Perna tang Purba. Arrive in Parapat   py ferry crossing  the Lake Toba to Samosir island.           Check In at hotel.

Day 9: SAMOSIR  tSLAND EXCURSION

After breakfast excursion by car on LAKE TOBA and explore to several BATAK TOBA traditional villages; TOMOK        To see the tomb of SIDABUTAR KIng

AMBARITA        To see stone chairs and table, theexcuuon  place  of SIALAGAN KINGS.

SIMANINDO      To see BATAK TOBA traditional dance named TOR TOR   and Museum. Lunch will be

Day 10: SAMOSIR  ISLAND EXCURSION

Breakfast at hotel. In the morning  visit Pusuk Buhit is the origin of the Batak tribe in mythology.  Around this  area  there  are  several  attractions  such  hot  water  and  07  taste  of  spring  water.  connnue to Nainggolan to see the magalithic site. Return to hotel for stay over night.

Day 11: SAMOSIR  FREE PROGRAM

Enjoy your breakfast at hotel. Free Program and enjoy the Lake Toba

Day 12: SAMOSIR -  PARAPAT -  MEDAN -  BAN.DA ACEH

After breakfast by ferrylboat  trip crossing  the LAKE TOBA to PARAPAT.Leaving PARAPAt to MEDAN via PEMATANG SIANTAR. On the way stop at several rubber and cocoa plantation.  Up on arrive at Medan directly transfer to Airport for night to Banda Aceh. Arrive in Sultan Iskandar Muda International Airport will be met by drive. Transfer to hotel and free program.
